F. What’s the Deal with the Ferry? (Overcoming Obstacles)

Most of the time you have two ferry’s running back and forth at a time. It is a very short distance to get across but due to the intercoastal waterway, a bridge isn’t possible. Getting on a floating barge with your car is a little intimidating, let’s be honest. Things have gone sideways a time or two taking vehicles across and people love retelling the stories. One unfortunate fella put his car in neutral instead of park and his truck rolled right off into the water. Low tide can make trouble for construction vehicles and they have to wait for high tide. One poor friend got stuck floating around on the ferry for a few hours one day due to high winds. Things happen, but it is rare. Normally, you get in line and they wave you onboard. You drive up until they tell you to stop, you put your car in park, roll down the windows and turn your car off. Once you get to the other side, they wave you off one car at a time. You back up your vehicle onto shore and go about your merry way. It is normal to be frightened about something new or unknown, but God is with you and he tells us to be strong and courageous.
How do you respond when facing obstacles in your life? How do you propel yourself forward when you feel paralyzed to make a move?
“Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
