K. Will Everyone Get Along? (Fear)

When you aren’t used to everyone’s quirks, it can set you on edge and pretty soon it can be like a set of dominos. The good thing it there is a lot of options for things to do. You can go on the beach and sit, you can walk on the beach, go to the pool, the tennis court, the restaurant, the ice cream shop, go for a ride on the golf cart, kayak, sit on the porch, visit with a neighbor, build a puzzle, play a game, read a book, hang out in your own room…you get the idea. It turns out when you can be outside, you have a lot more options. You can be by yourself or be around several people. With adults, everyone can be responsible for themselves. We did run into a hiccup early on we had no electricity for several days due to a downed power line and no internet for an even longer period of time but we managed. We used flashlights, we talked and we played games. It was grand.
Do you tend to assume the best or the worst when people are gathered together? Do your assumptions have a way of getting in the way being able to live peacefully in the present moment?
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7
