A Light Show

There is just something awe inspiring about light, even the man-made kind.

My husband got us all tickets for a light show at a local resort over the weekend.

The show had a variety of attractions lit up along a walking path to leisurely meander through at your own pace. There was a large tree that reminded me of the Tree of Life. It stood out more than any of the other areas to me. It was large, colorful, and reflected nicely on the nearby pond. It was a great reminder of how light really does overcome the darkness.

I imagine the darker the night, the brighter the lights seem. Lights are mesmerizing, drawing people together and can be enjoyed by all ages.

Light shows are attention getters, but they are nothing in comparison to the light of Jesus. Even in a world as messy as ours, His light always overcomes all the darkness. It's a good reminder to me that Jesus is the ultimate light that draws us in and gives us hope. Jesus is the light of the world.
